Q: For how long should I water my plants?
A: Chart or test your system for 1 hour. Then check the soil with a pencil or some other stick-like object. Determine how much soil the water covered vertically and laterally. Finally, fine tune the watering time depending on your results. Here are some suggested watering guidelines:

Q. Can I leave my system on all the time?
A: No. Either use an electronic water timer wisely or turn on/off your system manually. Do not leave it on all the time. The plants will receive too much water.(Please note that these are only suggestions. You should make the necessary adjustments in order to satisfy your plants' needs.)
Q. Can I leave my Raindrip system out year round?
A: Yes. Before winter arrives, make sure your system is completely drained of any water so that it does not freeze, expand and crack the drippers or hose.
Q. Can my Raindrip system be buried underground?
A: It does not have to be, but yes, it can be buried as long as the dripper or any part that emits water is above ground.
Q. What can I do to keep my drippers from clogging?
a) Drain the system every two months by opening up the end and turning the water on until all sediment is flushed out.
b) Use a Raindrip 'Y' Filter (Part No. R605D) or 'T' Filter (Part No. R608D).
c) If the drippers clog due to mineral deposits in the water, try soaking the dripper in vinegar.
d) Always try to use stakes to keep the drippers out of the dirt.
Q. What kind of maintenance is required for this system?
A: Several times a year, remove the end closure and flush each circuit until the water runs clear. In addition, clean the filter screens and check for leaks. If any damage has occurred to the hose or tubing, simply cut out the damaged section and replace it using a compression coupling or a barbed connector.
Q. Why do my drippers blow off when I turn on the water?
A: The pressure is too high. A pressure regulator should be used. There are two types of regulators that maintain the pressure at a present rate of 15-20 psi or 25-30 psi. The 15-20 psi is recommended for a Raindrip system utilizing the 1/2, 1 or 2 GPH drippers only. The 25-30 psi Pressure Regulator is recommended for all other Raindrip Sprinklers, Sprayers & Misters.
Q. What should I use to tighten parts?A: All parts must be hand tightened only
