Yes. Before winter arrives, make sure your system is completely drained of any water so that it does not freeze, expand and crack the drippers or hose.
Several times a year, remove the end closure and flush each circuit until the water runs clear. In addition, clean the filter screens and check for leaks. If any damage has occurred to the hose or tubing, simply cut out the damaged section and replace it using a compression coupling or a barbed connector.
The pressure is too high. A pressure regulator should be used. There are two types of regulators that maintain the pressure at a present rate of 15-20 psi or 25-30 psi. The 15-20 psi is recommended for a Raindrip system utilizing the 1/2, 1 or 2 GPH drippers only. The 25-30 psi Pressure Regulator is recommended for all other Raindrip Sprinklers, Sprayers & Misters.
Chart or test your system for 1 hour. Then check the soil with a pencil or some other stick-like object. Determine how much soil the water covered vertically and laterally. Finally, fine tune the watering time depending on your results. Here are some suggested watering guidelines:
