* Tap Safe is designed to protect an outside tap from unauthorised use and tampering, but will also improve protection from frost/freezing conditions. During freezing conditions, we would always recommend isolating the water supply by turning isolation/stop valves off and leaving the tap on, allowing any remaining water to drain away. If there isn’t an isolator valve for the tap or you prefer not to put the tap out of service, we would recommend protecting the tap and any exposed pipework using an insulated tap jacket, lagging or other suitable insulating material.
